The CLR Recycling Process | Closed Loop Recycling

Our Process

Rely on the best in the industry with CLR solutions.

We are your one stop shop for the industry’s best reusable absorbents, socks, wipers, and gloves – more effective than disposables or Oil-Dri®. With Closed Loop Recycling as a single vendor, you’ll achieve great efficiency, lower costs, and a better quality of life for your team.

Process

Our recycling process takes your used absorbents, personal protective equipment (PPE), and dirty storage drums back to our facility to clean them for recycling and reuse. This process also doesn’t produce any waste, ensuring we protect the environment for future generations. Simply put, we take three waste streams and turn them into three reusable products!

Products

CLR provides reusable absorbent materials and U.S. Department of Transportation-approved collection drums to keep your workplace clean and organized. We eliminate the need for you to purchase disposable absorbents for your non-haz waste.

Service

To take your services to the next level, we create a layout of your facility to show collection and distribution locations and routes to access these points. This allows our Customer Service Reps to provide service at the point of collection, saving your employees valuable time.

Process Perfection

Closed Loop Recycling has ironed out all the issues and streamlined our recycling services for optimal turnaround.

Used Oil

Oil is extracted from the absorbents. It is transported by an EPA approved oil recycler to a refinery.

Recycled Oil

The oil is recycled as asphalt, low-grade oil for heating, or becomes fuel for cement kilns.

Used Drums

Once the collection drums are emptied, they are steam cleaned.

Recycled Drums

They are then reconditioned to DOT specifications for reuse.

Used Oil Soaked Absorbent Mats

After the oil is extracted, the absorbent mats are laundered through our proprietary process.

Recycled Absorbent Mats

The clean absorbent mats are then packaged for redistribution.
